Paraprofessionals play an essential supportive role in the education of students. They are often assigned to provide in-depth tutoring in basic skills such as literacy and mathematics or to assist students with special needs. Regardless of the assignment, paraprofessionals are educators and need the same instructional and classroom management skills used by all educators.
This training program includes three separate Courses and associated Final Exams:
- * Introduction to Being a Paraprofessional
- * Students with Special Needs
- * Working with Students
NEED TO KNOW:
- - You must pass the Final Exam for each Course with a grade of 80% within 2 attempts.
- - All Exams results are visible to the school district(s).
- - Learners who fail to pass a Final Exam will be required to purchase* a make-up Exam in order to complete the training program.
* Some districts pay for their learners to use the program but expect learners to pay for the make-up Exam if they fail a Final Exam.
